The external keyboard does control volume and screen brightness. One person claims to have resolved this issue saying the hardware connections needed to be reseated.Ħ. If I adjust the brightness manually it appears that it uses that brightness as a lower limit and darkens a little bit when there's zero light in the room, but if I put the MBP in a bright area, the brightness shoots up to max. There was a similar issue reported with 10.12, however I was not affected by it. I just bought a brand new MacBook Pro and I was tweaking the display settings and I was wondering how the auto brightness works. They wanted me to send it in for repairs, however I doubt a software install caused physical damage to my MacBook Pro.ĥ. version of macOS/OS X older than the latest major release (High Sierra) likely have EFI. (I did mention that this is in the forums and was originally reported on the developer forums back in June.)Ĥ. Simply adjusting the brightness can resolve the problem quickly. They told me they were going to report it.
If you do not see the Format or Picture Tools tabs, make sure that you have selected a picture. It will happen the other way if the light in the room is weak.
